The headwaters had been poisoned; it took us all day yesterday cleansing and renewing them. In the evening we started building shelter. I'm looking forward to it being finished; sleeping on the naked ground get's old quickly.
I had expected living up here to be harsh and cold but actually there is exuberant joy in the air ever since we arrived on the mountain top, and this warm, expectant excitement has started to flow down the mountain ever since we were done cleansing the region up here. The new morning smells amazing.
Now wanderers will come up here; it's save climbing from now on. The joy is cleansing out the vipers nests along the way, too, so there'll be no dangers from them anymore either. I doubt they can drink the unpoisoned water anyway.
We're doing good work up here. I can see my home town from the top.
I expect to be writing some more throughout the day, too.
Today I wrote:
- 3 1/2 pages (WIP, same as yesterday)
- one page (a bit more than that, but still; WIP again)
- 1 1/2 pages (same WIP)
